Nicola Atkinson has selected and produced 72 pieces for you to choose from all were created in Glasgow Scotland over the last four years from 2022 - 2026.

They are named after 12 of her closest family members. Blythe, Catherine, Claire, David, Donna, George, Jill, John, Laurence, Peter, Rafe and Vera. Some are just beginning their lives and others have had a full and rich life. These enable their memories to live on beyond the intimate family history. To live forever by breathing in a work of art and it can not be the last time when their names are uttered.

Beautiful Materials work is characterised by a restless exploration of materials and making that is evident throughout the practice. Nicola Atkinson is fascinated by how tastes and fashions play out in the ways that humans dress, decorate living spaces, shape architecture and build infrastructures.

Beautiful Materials artworks are available in a variety of sizes and selected materials.
Each section design is a work of art in itself, that can be framed like an edition, or it can be transformed into something by its owner.

It sits comfortably within these areas of fine art, craft, the decorative arts and fashion.
