Beautiful Materials work is characterised by a restless exploration of materials and making that is evident throughout the practice. Nicola Atkinson is fascinated by how tastes and fashions play out in the ways that humans dress, decorate living spaces, shape architecture and build infrastructures.

Each section design is a work of art in itself, that can be framed like an edition, or it can be transformed into something by its owner. It sits across these areas of fine art, craft and the decorative arts.
